How
to use the Zoom Search Engine below.
Enter one or more keywords to search for. If using multiple search
words, select whether you want the search results to include pages that
have all
search words
(to narrow
your results) or any
search words
(for broader results). For example, if you enter nursing, milk,
and baby to find articles about nursing
your baby,
be sure to select “all search words",
otherwise your results could also include pages containing nursing
home, baby food, etc. However, if you are searching for babywearing
options and want any pages with either sling, wrap
or carrier, select "any search
words", otherwise your results will include only those pages which talk
about all three options together. If you are looking for a phase such
as skin to
skin, be sure
to enclose the words in
quotation marks like this: “skin to
skin”
or else your
results will include every page with the word
skin in it.
Tip: Note that the '*' and '?'
wildcards are
supported in this search engine.
Here are some examples of how to use the most helpful wildcard, the
asterisk (*):
a) If you enter bottle*, the results will include
any pages containing bottle,
bottles, bottlefeeding,
etc.
b) If you type *fe*d* with three asterisks as
shown, the results will include any pages containing fed,
feed, feeding, breastfed, breastfeed, breastfeeding, bottle-fed,
or bottlefeeding.
c) Note: You cannot use wildcards inside quotation marks to search for
a phrase. For example, if you are looking for the Mamatoto Project, but
don’t know how to spell Mamatoto, select all search
words and
enter Mama*
Project, not
“Mama* Project”.
