When Your Baby Has Trouble Breastfeeding – Simple Solutions

This La Leche League article explains a technique called “reverse pressure softening” which is helpful in the early days after birth if you begin to notice firmness of the areola, latch pain or breast fullness.

· La Leche League turns 50 - To better understand where birth and breastfeeding were when La Leche League was begun, read this article describing Marian Tompson's role in starting LLL.  In 2001, Mrs. Tompson began a new organization in Evanston, IL called Another Look to help educate others about the issue of whether HIV can be passed from mother to child through breast milk, as is commonly believed.

This is a press release by the California Department of Industrial Relations dated June 20, 2008.  The citation is the first of its kind since the
